Understanding different levels on a remote dog collar
Feeling Different Levels
Levels are relative. Clip from seminar with Fred Hassen, Ashton Fitz-Gerald, and Lianne Hassen in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada. Remote E-collar training, is very similar to a leash in that it would depend on the individual dog, and the individual situation in how a dog would perceive the stimulation. Much like the first time that a person may use a chiropractors tens unit, in that it might be startling at first, but the person usually settles into it very quickly, and may not even perceive the same level after a few more times that it is used. This also happens in the first time that a dog might feel a leash tug, or anything else new to them, and settle in as well. Dogs obviously feel things quite differently than humans do, and this can easily be verified by watching dogs jump naked in water in the middle of the winter, and not even acknowledging the water temperature. You can also watch a dog run around ‘barefoot’ in the snow for hours, and have them barely acknowledge that as well. It would be quite different for humans.
