Puppy getting on an elevator – 4 months old

Getting your puppy on an elevator can sometimes be a surprising experience. If your puppy is already familiar with some obedience commands such as ‘sit’, and has practiced it in some distracting situations, then it is a lot more likely that it will go smoother when this time comes.

It is obviously a bit easier to get a puppy pretty reliable off-leash at a much younger age with the Sit Means Sit dog training system, and in this video you see Fred Hassen’s 4 month old Labrador Retriever puppy “Kohl” showing a lot of confidence in a very difficult environment.

When you get out and practice your dog with his commands, always be as imaginative as you can, and help them explore as many new circumstances as they can. This will also give you the opportunity to spend more time with your dog. Just remember, ‘Sit Means Sit’ – even on an elevator.
