Liberty is looking great. You've done a tremendous job training. Sometimes dogs have good days and bad days. They're all unique. A Sit Means Sit collar would give you more reliability at a distance with getting her to pay attention to command, whatever that command is.

I own a 9 year old weimaraner that was givin to me as a last resort when she was 5. Either i take her or she be put down, she was a biter. Anyways ive trained her everything she knows, and we work hard on agility. But it seems like she likes to take her time completing a command, it all depends where and what i tell her to do. Also, sometimes she doesnt listen at all and does as she pleases. Ive cut the behavior down by chunks, and shes listening better. But its still so hard to correct a break for instance when shes 30 feet away without sounding like im killing the dog. Also she slacks off and puts no drive into anything, unless she happens to feel like it that day.
Well to summon things up im looking for my dog to follow through with a command when i ask.
EX. When i say off i dont want her to watch me, i want her off. Would a sit means sit collar do good for us?
I would just come down to a Sit Means Sit facility but unfortunatly i dont own a car right now.
Anyways here is a random video of us training. We have actualy come quite far when i think of how she used to just run over and "attack" anybody she felt needed a strong biting.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26Ws-Vrt0fQ
Thank You for your help in advance!

Hi Melinda,

Your collar could very well be a 'cousin' to our Sit Means Sit Dog Collar. There are many makes and models out on the market, and some of them are very similar to the Sit Means Sit Dog Training Collar. Your collar should work to train your dog with our system, provided it carries the necessary adjust-ability in intensity levels. Generally a collar with 10 or more levels will work well for training most dogs.

The first step to training with us is to contact a Sit Means Sit dog trainer near you to set up a free demonstration. Each location is independently owned and operated, and they all offer different and typically customized training programs. Pricing varies from location to location. Click here to contact a trainer near you. From there the trainer will setup a training program for you as well as show you what you can expect from their program.

We purchased an electronic training collar from the internet a while ago. I am not recalling the brand name but it looks very much like the one I see in your pictures. I think it was intended to be used to train hunting dogs. There is a setting that makes just an audible beep and then levels 1-8 that produce the vibration. Our electric underground fence stopped working so we bought this to enforce the boundaries in our yard. My question is can this be used with your method and if so how much would the training be if we have the collar and how would we go about it? Thanks!
