This is a long overdue thank you, but Turk, You have changed my life (And Cash’s). I was almost to the point of trying to find Cash a new home, when I took a gamble on another trainging method. I figuered since the PetSmart “training” did NOTHING but waste $200 for me and Cash, this would be a similar experience.

Boy, I couldn’t have been more wrong! After the first lesson, Cash was already easier to deal with. I actually started running my house instead of Cash! He never used to be a welcome guest when I would go to my parent’s or friend’s house. Now, Cash gets invited and I can tag along! He and I are living such a happy life together now. I can take him anywhere, and be totally comfortable that he won’t do anything out of line. It is just life altering. I get stopped all the time by people in the neighborhood asking how I got my dog to be so respectful and mindful! I brag and gloat and show Cash off all the time, and just couldn’t be happier. He even holds his head higher!

It seems like a really big investment, but if I had known how everyone’s life would change for the better with Cash, I would have gladly paid triple! Thank you Turk, for encouraging me that Cash could be like Seven with a little work! I never would have believed it. You are a saviour!

Eternally grateful-
Katie and Cash Burton

Seminar attendee in Reno/Carson City Nevada

Dear Fred and Carla,

I just wanted to give you a brief update on the two dogs I brought to the “Sit Means Sit” Seminar Oct 5th – 8th. I was the gal who brought my neighbor’s Beagle (Pogo 8 months). I can not thank you enough for the extra time and effort you gave us. When we arrived for the demo Friday night Pogo was insecure, stubborn, spoiled and fearful. I have to say I’m surprised and thrilled with his progress (as is his 77 year old owner).

As a basic obedience instructor my normal method has been “lure training” with treats and/or toys, neither of these methods seemed to work with the Beagle Pogo. We did have some success with the Halti but far too often Pogo would run and hide when he saw the Halti. (His 77 year old owner was unable to catch him). Once the Halti was securely on him he throw a fit screeching, flipping around, refusing to get up off the ground so taking him on a simple walk was nearly impossible for his owner. The less exercise he got the more impossible he became. Nothing seemed to work until we attended the e-collar seminar.

On Friday night Pogo was his normal obnoxious self, refusing to do the simplest of commands. But once at the seminar we saw huge improvements with Pogo attitude and confidence. Pogo’s tail which was normally tucked between his legs actually began to wag as he started to understand what was expected of him. On Sunday all eyes were on the Beagle as he moved happily through the maze of platforms obeying the sit, down and come commands. The transformation was amazing and he seems 100% happier.

Today’s obedience lesson went wonderful, instead of me having to go to next door and catch Pogo, to my surprise his owner walked him over to my home. Her smile said it all, “Pogo wanted to go on a walk” she grinned. She had successfully walked him to my house without a Halti or e-collar.

He waited at the door before entering without a fight (a first). I put the e-collar on him and we moved through his basic obedience commands with ease. He seemed to enjoy the class and seeing his tail held high made me know that Pogo is on his way to becoming a stable happy companion dog. I am no longer that Pogo will have to be re-homed or end up at the dog pound. With your help a closer bond is being built between owner and dog.

Pogo of course wasn’t the only success story for the weekend. The two wolf dogs made huge improvements. It’s amazing how the e-collar instills confidence in even the most fearful of dogs. I look forward to attend seminar with “Sit Means Sit” This training method may indeed save the lives of many tough to control dogs.

Thank you again for your time and effort.

Sincerely,
Jillian Cline

From an 80 and 84 year old!

We got Smokie from our grandson. She’s blue heeler-aussie mix. This breed MUST HERD!!! And herd us she did. She also figured out she could buffalo Frank, and chew his feet.If I left the room, she was after him. If we opened the front dook, she was gone. Abxoutely no way would she respond to commands. To top it off, I had to be away, so she became totally unsocial. Went wild if anyone came in the front door. I was so upset, never had a dog I couldn’t train, or control. I told Frank I was going to have her put down, at only 13 months, because of her behavior. I figured no one would have patience, and she’d end up being abused. Then I saw the article in the paper about the demo at Raymore Park. So, we went to watch. Didn’t take the dog. Carrie was in their booth, told me go home and get the dog.Well, in about 20 minutes, this girl was walking at heel with no lead. I was astounded. I signed up for a home demo, and Tom & Carrie came to the house. Frank couldn’t believe what they did with this dog in less than and hour. We signed up. Took our three lessons. You could’t give us enough money to buy this dog. She responds to the least command. All I can say is Sit Means Sit saved our girl from being put down, and am I ever happy!!!! Oh, as an afterthought, I’m 80 yrs, and Frank is 84, so no one is too old for this program.

Thanks Tom, Carrie & JB

PROTECTION DOG TRAINING SEMINAR

O.G. Valencia Schutzhund club hosted a seminar with Fred Hassen over Easter weekend. I’ve trained with four National Champions, a World Champion and have won a Nationals myself. I’ve never seen a more comprehensive, detailed system for dog training before. This system works on any age of dog regardless of their genetics and gets results for the handler regardless of their abilities. I strongly recommend this method for anyone regardless of what their goals are or what they are doing with their dogs.

Thanks a million

From Australia Seminar

Hi Fred,
Thank you very much for all your professionalism and for openly sharing your knowledge with us. It has been quite a privilege working beside you and experiencing your method of training and getting such quick results within it’s implementation to the various types of dogs.

I would personally like to express my gratitude to you for accepting Gus’s invitation to extend your stay in Australia and take the time to conduct the one day introduction seminar at such short notice.

Please I hope you do not take this statement the wrong way, I have met a hell of a lot of dog trainers from all over the world with their only intention of promoting themselves, however I found within spending one day with you I can quite clearly see the passion and commitment that you personally have in promoting the working side of the dogs.

I hope the day you spent with us was as enjoyable to you as it was to me.

So thank you once again for all your passion, dedication and help.

Sit Means Sit New Jersey Dog Training Location

Hello Jerry,

I hope all is well. Buddy is doing extremely well. The training provided by Anthony was exceptional, and I will probably make a few visits to the group sessions soon. Here’s a recent experience that provides evidence of how well things have worked out….

I had a very excited stray dog, wander into my yard recently. While I dealt with the dog, and waited for his owner to come looking for him, I was able to tell Buddy to “place” and “down” which he did for 15 or so minutes, while the other dog was going crazy. I’ve not seen to many dogs who could be relied on in that way.

DOG TRAINING – Veterinarian:

To Darin and Chris, Sit Means Sit – Atlanta.

I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your work with us and with our English Pointer, Hank.  The Sit Means Sit training method was the perfect method for him.

Hank was found as a stray seven years ago, and had become increasingly stubborn about refusing to come back when called, and about pulling on his leash when we walked him.  He’s now a different dog!  He comes instantly when we call him, and stays right with us on a leash.  With the Sit Means Sit dog training method, we’re able to leave him loose in the fenced yard now – he has so much more freedom and is a much happier dog, and we don’t have to chase him down in the woods or yell and yell to get him back inside.

The Sit Means Sit remote collar training was so much more gentle than the chain collars we had tried before, and he didn’t resist the remote collar like he did with the chain collars.  We’re very pleased with our "new" dog, and Hank is so much happier.  I’ve recommended the Sit Means Sit dog training method to several of my clients, and will continue to recommend it, as well as to use it in the future myself.

Thanks so much for your work!

DOG TRAINING – Seminar Attendee

Fred & Carla

Chicago wants to thank you so much for the excellent "Sit Means Sit Seminar" this past weekend. I saw people converted over to firmly believe in your methods of training. The results were seen in such a short time you both were working the dogs.

Just watching the dogs come in on Saturday with their owners… then watching them leave Sunday afternoon was like night and day. Your professional presentation had something to do with it….
My brain is fried with all the great things that were presented.

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

I hope you will make yet another return visit.

Mike

TRAINING "UNTRAINABLE DOGS"

I cannot thank Fred and Carla enough for the hope they have given me, my boyfriend and one of our dogs, Jabber! Jabber had been kicked out of five other training classes for being a fear biter and had multiple "professional" dog people tell me to euthanize him.

Jabber has bitten (or tried to bite) anyone who came near him. In 2.5 years, he still only allows about 3 people to touch him without biting. By the end of the weekend, people were giving him treats, he was sitting in someone’s lap, others were walking him on leash and he was in general much calmer and more relaxed…something that the Valium and Xanax he had been prescribed couldn’t even accomplish!

I run a small animal rescue organization and 3 of our rescues were at this event as well. All of the handlers were incredibly impressed by the turn around of each of the dogs. One was so impressed that she may be attending your school to become a trainer!

Words cannot express how much thanks I have for this seminar. I am more than happy that I was able to attend and I cannot wait for the January seminar!!

POLICE K9 DOG TRAINING – Search and Rescue:

My name is Bill Richardson and I work 2 bloodhounds for the Las Vegas Metro PD SAR. Jack who is 14 months old and Ella who is 16 months old. Both are close to being mission ready.

Our Bloodhound unit recently started using remote collars on our dogs for obiedience as well as trailing. What an amazing tool this has become. We’ve got our Bloodhounds doing things that never seemed possible before. And as far as trailing it didnt take away any drive but in fact gave them more drive. Our team deeply appreciates the work that Fred Hassen and staff has done with our team to get us up and running using the no limitation’s remote collar training, and also Carla Collins. These our some great caring and giving people in the dog world.

SEMINARS "Sit Means Sit" Seminar Attendee:

I attended the Sit Means Sit seminar last weekend. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders! I brought my 15 month old lab, Rebel. I was having trouble even taking him for a walk. He would become so excited by the sight of other people or dogs, I could barely control him. In fact when we got to the seminar he was so excited I almost didn’t get out of the car. Thankfully we did get out of the car. Fairly quickly Fred had one of the instructors work with Rebel and then show me the method. The day improved quickly from there. By the end of the first day he was walking on a loose leash even with all the distractions. He was heeling off leash by the end of the second day. Our relationship was transformed!

A few nights ago I was walking Rebel at our city park. I noticed a family with a lab puppy and spoke to them. The man said "I wish my dog would walk like that on a leash. How did you train yours to do that?" I just smiled and showed him my remote!

DOG TRAINING SEMINAR – "Difficult Dogs":

Thank you, Fred and Carla for coming to Reedley, CA and enabling us to experience an e-collar method that really works! It has helped all of our dogs but especially this little "vicious" guy.

Here’s a little history about Grizzly: He came into our lives in August of 2002, at approximately three months of age. Grizzly was about to be dumped, had a broken leg that had already healed back improperly, several internal parasites, and a bad case of giardia when we rescued him. He tried to bite us on our way home and although somewhat better he continues to bite us at two years of age. He has had to be locked up whenever we have company, muzzled at the vet (even at three months old), and could never go near a stranger. He was an extremely aggressive little dog and we’ve been told by many to have him euthanized, there’s no hope! Grizzly can also be very annoying as he barks aggressively whenever we have company or he must ride in the car. We’ve tried barking collars and e-collars to help eliminate his barking and work through his aggression issues but nothing seems to grab his attention! Whether we used a positive or negative method, Grizzly completely ignored us whenever he could see or hear a person nearby. His nickname was often "psycho" because of his attitude.

Since the seminar Grizzly has been able to quietly sit in his crate when people are over or while riding in the car. It has been so much more peaceful around our house this month! The only people that could pet Grizzly prior to his introduction to the e-collar was our agility trainer and our immediate family.

We would recommend Fred Hassen’s method for any type of dog! This is one method that really works no matter the person or dog, past experience or not! We plan to attend other seminars in the future (the first being in Tucson, AZ for agility and the retrieve in January ‘05), to further educate ourselves on this great method.

DOG TRAINING SEMINAR – Life-Saving Experience!

Need to write to thank you so much for saving the life of my dog!!!

I know that I have never met you, attended one of your seminars, or even heard of your name before now but you have changed my life and the life of my best friend.

A year ago my family adopted a male Rottweiler from a rescue organization.  I fell head over heels in love with this little guy, but I was aware that he had some issues that needed to be dealt with.  At the time I felt ready to take on the challenges of raising this little rottie boy.  Not long after adopting our rottie boy, Solomon I was diagnosed with cancer and my life changed dramatically.  I was still taking Solomon to our community obedience class, but he was out of control.  He was getting bigger and stronger more out of control with every passing day.  I tried so hard to use the teaching methods I was learning in class but Solomon continued to be aggressive.

Our instructor told me that Solomon needed to be put to sleep.  She told me that he was too aggressive and too dangerous to ever leave our yard and that the kind thing to do would be to have him put to sleep.  I was devastated!!!  But I had one last round of phone calls to make before giving up on our little boy.  I was finally able to contact an instructor in our area who is a huge fan of your training methods.  She hasn’t been able to go to your school due to financial reasons, but has followed your method religiously.  She was the only instructor we found who was even willing to work with us.  We ordered the e-collar from her and began training the very same week.

It was horrible at first…he growled and snapped every time she would approach him…but she was confident in your method and didn’t give up. It has been about two months now and our little rottie boy is a completely different dog.  He has gone from an aggressive and fearful dog into a friendly and confident companion. AND…just for the record he has no fear or hatred of the training collar…just the other day he brought the collar to me because he wanted to go work.

Two weeks ago he passed the AKC Canine Good Citizenship test and at the end of the month he is going to take part in a UKC Obedience Trial.  We are so proud of him, and so very grateful to you…and our trainer Cindy from Whitefield, NH…you have changed our lives.  I know that we still have work to do and we are far from being finished yet but we are having so much fun and seeing such awesome results that both my dog and I look forward to our training sessions.

I am hoping to attend one of your seminars in the New Hampshire area. I believe there is one scheduled for July, I hope to get a chance to thank you personally, but if I don’t please know that you are our life saver.

Thank you for giving my little boy a second chance at life.  Your method has dramatically changed his life.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Sincerely,
Lori Korzen

We’d like to thank you for all the great work you have done with our Great Dane Modoc. Although 100% people friendly after being attacked by a Rottie 3 years ago he has not been reliable at all around other dogs. We drive 8 hours to come to your facility and have learned so much. He is now a dog we can control around other animals. We will keep coming for “tune ups.” All your trainers have been great and it seems as though they know we’re only there for about 5 days at a time they really test him (which is what he needs) and the improvement is so obvious.

This time Billy was the trainer for the week and he did a great job with him as well as all the previous trainers. We just wanted to give you a “thank you” for the progress we’ve made and we’ll be back. I have an internet room for Great Dane owners and all are totally impressed with his progress. They are people throughout the US. I always give your center the recognition it deserves.

Thanks again,
Jeri, Nat and Modoc Gildersleeve
