Sit Means Sit Dog Training in Boulder City, Nevada
Have you always been a dog lover and owned dogs, learning to laugh at those little accidents that would happen, the chewed on furniture, the mangled remote; and put up with it because well, you just love him so much? That was me for many years.
I have read many dog training books and employed those methods with varying degrees of success. Then last year I discovered Fred Hassen’s Sit Means Sit method and started training a new puppy. I had so much success and fun with the puppy training I also started my nine-year old Pom and got fantastic results right away!
The Sit Means Sit method combines electronic collar dog training with the proven techniques that I have developed to bring you a happy, obedient and safe dog. My Nevada dog obedience training school brings an innovative, internationally recognized training program to your backyard!
For ages, dogs have taken their place at our sides as faithful companion, protector and best friend. At the Boulder City dog training school, Sit Means Sit, our mission is to provide dog obedience training that will give you the happy, obedient companion you want and the focus, clarity and consistency of training your dog deserves.
From basic dog obedience, manners and behavior problems (such as jumping, chewing, digging, barking, house soiling and aggression) to reliable behavior and off-leash control in any situation, Sit Means Sit Boulder City, a Nevada dog training school, will help you achieve your goals for your dog. We want to accomplish what you want, by helping you
enjoy your dog instead of being frustrated with him.
If you’re ready to help your dog lead a happy, stress-free life, contact us now and set up your free in-home demonstration and evaluation- at no obligation to you.
To whom it may concern:
My dog is a 2 year old German Shepherd/Samoyed mix Named Desi. He has extremely high energy and what I initially thought was down right defiance. I initially attempted to train him myself by what I’ve learned over the years, though my previous dogs never really did get the “stay, don’t runaway thing”. I would also watch The Dog Whisperer for inspiration and training ideas. I took Desi to beginner training through PetSmart and even though his teacher gave him a diploma and me a cute picture of him with it posed in his “graduation cap”, she recommedned that he repeat the class. I felt like my child failed kindergarten and the future aspirations of him becoming a therapy service dog were bleak.
I went to many functions where Kathy and Dan Bethke were exhibiting their training and received information each time about the Sit Means Sit approach. For years I have heard about the wonderful reputation of Sit Means Sit but I kept putting off signing up related to the price and my financial situation. Desi was now getting bigger, stronger and more defiant where he could potentially, though unintentionally, hurt someone just by jumping on them. Afterall, at 9 months old he had pulled my elderly mother off the porch dislocating her shoulder. When Desi was about 1 1/2 years old, not following instructions, not coming when called, not staying when told to, jumping on everyone and pulling so that I had trouble holding on to him (I too inded up in ER with a leg injury from him), I finally signed up with Kathy for a Sit Means Sit evaluation. I had previously tried chain and nylon choke collars, full harness and a muzzle like “Gentle Leader” harness with no or little effect but with the use of the stimulating collar and the excellent training techniques the results are like night and day.
First, let me say, Kathy (and Dan) are so extremely knowledgable, patient and understanding that this whole process is fun and exciting. They really know what they’re doing, they always have an aswer to my questions and more. It is so apparent how committed they are to what they do and the Sit Means Sit philosophy. They have trained me into a different way of thinking and Desi follows my lead. No doubt Desi and I have a long way to go but I don’t have to worry about Desi breaking someone’s hip or getting hit by a car or injurying me when walking him. He is a happier dog and I am a happier dog mom! I cannot believe I did not join up earlier.
Wherever I go, when I have the opportunity, I advocate for SMS and our trainers. It just makes sense to go where you are guarunteed results INITIALLY. Thank you Sit Means Sit, Kathy and Dan!! Oh and by the way, Desi’s not really defiant, his mother did not have the skills and did not spend the time needed. You get out what you put in and we’re continuously improving!
