After moving to CO from Pittsburgh, PA, our loveable American Bulldog was more like the Tasmanian Devil! She was barking at every dog that walked past our corner lot, as well as barking and growling at any dog we would attempt to walk past. Small dogs were exceptionally tasty looking to her! The last straw was when she dragged me down a hillside to get near a retriever; I was SO embarrassed that I couldn’t control my own dog!
We saw Luke’s “Sit Means Sit” demo at the Denver Convention Center and I told him that he needed to help me attain control over Roxy the way Abby was under control. If his bulldog could be trained, so could mine!
We did our initial three private lessons, and started attending group classes at the local dog parks. The weird thing is; she is doing great! She no longer drags me; she walks nicely on her leash. She will walk off leash and come when I call her, even if there are other dogs around. We have had service people in our home to wash windows or do repairs and she will sit on her “place” for as long as I need her to. Roxy is far from perfect, but she has made such a drastic turnaround in her behavior, that I am thrilled with “Sit Means Sit” and the training led by Luke. Even my daughter commented that she would no longer have any qualms about taking her out on her own. We will continue to train Roxy with the “Sit Means Sit” method because we are all much happier now.

After having a Shih Tzu for 13 years, who ran me around, instead of me controlling her, I promised myself next dog would LISTEN to me.
When Cody passed last year I said NO MORE DOGS! It was just too painful. But then I was lonely for one when I searched for Scarlett, my long haired chihuahua. I was a bit intimidated b/c I have always seen these little dogs become yappy, nippy, and aggressive. But she was SO CUTE and I thought I could break her of this behavior. Stubborness was another trait she possessed so I got on the internet and started searching for some puppy help in my area.
After scrolling through the pages I saw a company called SIT MEANS SIT and I thought, YES!! that says it all, so I called.
My trainer Luke has worked wonders with her since the very 1st lesson. To my amazement, after the 1st lesson, Scarlett could sit and come upon command. SHE CAME TO ME WHEN I CALLED HER! I was astonished!! A dog that actually comes when you call her?? I had no idea this was possible although everyone else’s dogs seemed to mind. After working with Luke for several weeks her repertoire has grown and I find her to be so much more delightful to have around because she minds! I could not have accomplished this on my own and am so happy to have found SIT MEANS SIT and Luke.
