May 17th, 2007, is the Annual Pet Rescue Day on the Bay with Free harbor cruises for dogs and their owners in exchange for a blanket donation to shelter.

Hornblower Cruises & Events will present the 7th annual Pet Rescue Day on the Bay event to benefit the Helen Woodward Animal Center. By donating a gently used blanket or towel, a dog and its owner cruise FREE on any one-hour harbor cruise on a Hornblower yacht. Items will be collected from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and donated to the animal center.

Last year Hornblower Cruises & Event collected thousands of blankets and towels and had over 300 people and their pets come down to support the Helen Woodward Animal Center.

The Pet Rescue Day on the Bay is open to anyone, simply bring a donation of a new or gently used blanket or towel for the animals and in return you will receive a free ticket for a one-hour harbor cruise to use any time. Hornblower Cruises & Events is located in downtown San Diego at 1066 North Harbor Drive. Dogs Cruise FREE! If you bring your dog on a leash, it can ride along on a one-hour cruise on May 17th cruises only.
