Pound Puppies

i recently had a chance to work with some of the dogs at the boulder city animal shelter. They were hard for the volunteers to walk due to much enthusiasm. I was able to show them how quickly that problem can be solved and the dogs were well behaved and eager to please. We do not useĀ  a shock collar as most people like to call it. it does not feel like a shock it is not meant to hurt. we use an electronic tap, only to get the dogs attention. We want the dog to understand what we are telling it to do. We use all positive reinforcement and are simply talking to the dog through touch. The dog learns that when he feels that tap you are talking to him and want his attention. This is a great tool when you have a dog with issues with people or other animals. If your dog learns that paying attention to you is more important than following their instinct to chase something, that is what he’ll do.One of the dogs at the pound was just returned by someone who wanted to give it a home, because it chased their cat. This is a perfect example of something we can teach the dog not to do.This is something we could have helped this owner with.If you are getting a dog to be part of your family, what better investment to make than to train it?I do mean ANY kind of training. Whatever fits your time and lifestyle. All i offer is another alternative to train your dog. I believe all dogs should be trained,it helps you biuld a better bond and gives you much more freedom to take the dog with you.So the dog lives a more carefree life also. Some people for whatever reason, do not get the results they desire or need, with certain types of training, you may want to check out our method to see what it would be worth to you.To have us come and show you what you can have with your dog is the best way,(we have found) for you to make that decision. We can train any age dog.I myself have a 9 yr old dog that i could not take out of the house for 8 yrs due to barking and barking and barking.I trained her with this method and she has been fine ever since. We take her everywhere and she loves to go with us!I really changed her quality of life.I have not trained her to do tricks, or follow complex instructions. Just sit, off(quiet),and down. When we are out she will stay with me off leash, and she doesnt bark non stop. She’s happy just to be there,I’m happy i can have her there.I have 3 dogs, so to be able to controll them all when we are out is a real blessing.
