I feel very lucky to have been able to be sponsored by Sit Means Sit. To be backed by a reputable company with amazing trainers is a huge honor and I thank them so much, because if not for them, Tractor and I would not have been able to do half of what we have done in our career.
How do you feel about being invited to the 2010 Stihl Dogs & Logs World Championships?
It’s always an honor being invited to the World Championships, as the dogs that attend are the top dogs in the sport, so to be able to compete with them, is a huge honor.
What disciplines are you invited to for this year’s Stihl Dogs & Logs World Championships?
Tractor was invited for Iron Dog and Extreme Vertical with myself, but we turned down Extreme Vertical. He also received an invite with my great friend Julie, in Speed Retrieve, which they happily accepted, so he’ll be competing in both Speed Retrieve and Iron Dog.

How did you earn your invitations this year?
Tractor earned our Iron Dog invite at World Qualifier in Vail, CO in June. Julie and him earned their Speed Retrieve invite through rankings. She is currently ranked 5th in the world with him.
Do you have a sponsor for the World Championships?
Yes, two fantastic ones, Sit Means Sit is a huge part of why I can attend. They really step up and take care of their sponsored dogs. Tractor is also sponsored by Las Vegas based company, Rah! RAW! Are you happy with the location for Stihl DockDogs World Championships this year?
Yes, after traveling the last two years to attend.. over 30 hours one way, it’s nice to have a change of scenery and be a little closer to home. 
Have you been to a World Championship event before?
Yes.
What were you invited for in the past and what did you accept?
2008, earned an invite at our very first DockDogs event for Extreme Vertical, which we accepted. In 2009, he actually received an invite in all disciplines, but only accepted for Iron Dog and Speed Retrieve.
How did you do in the past?
He hit a new personal best in Extreme Vertical of 7′ at his first Worlds (2008). Last year, he did AMAZING, hitting new personal bests in SR and ID, and coming in 3rd OVERALL in the World.
What are some of your favorite things about the Stihl DockDogsWorld Championships last year?
Meeting the genuinely good people that are involved in this sport and forming friendships that will last a long time.
What DockDogs titles does Tractor have?
Tractor has a Big Air ELITE title, a SONIC Speed Retrieve title and a TOP GUN Extreme Vertical title.
What are Tractor’s current rankings in each discipline?
ID he is ranked 7th in the world
SR he is ranked 15th
BA he is ranked 33rd
EV he is ranked 21st
What kind of music do you and Tractor prefer on the dock?
Country mostly (his name is Tractor after all!) but anything upbeat!
What do you tell Tractor when he’s on the dock?
Oh boy… hard to say.. anything I can think of at the moment to rev him up. Some of it is probably jibberish.
