Upcoming seminar in Tacoma Washington
September 28-30, 2007 :: Tacoma, and Gig Harbor Washington
The Pacific Northwest is excited to announce a Sit Means Sit Remote Collar Training Clinic on September 28, 29, 30th to serve and benefit Ginger’s Death Row Dog Rescue. This is an opportunity for anyone who takes in dogs for fostering or adoption to learn how to quickly and easily solve big behavior problems and have a happy, tail-wagging, liberated dog. Those who wish to take their own personal dog to a new level are most welcome to attend also!
Fred Hassen, CEO and Founder of Sit Means Sit, Las Vegas will be running this clinic. Kate Johansson, of Sit Means Sit, Tacoma will be working with students and we will have several other Sit Means Sit instructors here so that everyone gets plenty of one-to-one time with instructors.
How often do we wonder about the past abuse and neglect these rescued dogs have suffered? Learn how to put it all aside and have today be the first day of your rescued dog’s life! By the end of this weekend your dog(s) will be transformed! Your dog will be sitting and staying, walking off leash and doing agility–all while staying calm and happy. We urge everyone to bring us the worst behavior problems–especially dog and human aggression. We will show you how to fix it all with a very gentle communication method that includes body language and a slight tapping “talk” with the remote collar.
Hang on to your seats! This seminar changes the lives of dogs and their people. It will blow you away. If you have a dog that you are fairly certain can never change into the “Best Dog In The World,” bring a box of tissue. You will have tears of joy by the end of the weekend.
We welcome anyone to this seminar who works with or around dogs. Whether you are a police K-9 handler experiencing a behavioral problem or a Veterinarian seeing extreme frustration on the part of pet owners over an out-of-control dog or a dog groomer who needs to muzzle a dog and call for back-up. Dog professionals really need to see and experience this method!
The seminar will be held in Tacoma and Gig Harbor Washington. The exact location will be announced in the next few days. Cost is only $175.00 for the whole weekend! We will have 6 hours of instruction on Saturday, from 9 am to 3 pm and five hours on Sunday, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Should we have a remote collar before attending the seminar? Are there any other brands/styles you recommend or only the one for $210 listed on the website? It might be more than I need since I have just one dog and 1/2 mile is probably longer than I need as well.
Also, I am on disability and trying to train my own psychiatric service dog – is there any chance you offer a discount for the training?
Thank you,
Jessica

Hi Jessica, the Sit Means Sit collar was designed by myself in conjunction with SportDog to best suit our style of training. You will see us using it on all of our dogs, and on the dogs at the seminar. You are correct, a half mile is longer than just about anybody needs. Whether you have a police dog, pet dog, agility dog, protection dog, service dog and a lot of other sorts of dogs, most dogs are never more than 100 yards away from the handler with the exception of a few hunting type dogs and trials. I would agree that the range is certainly overplayed, at least for our vast majority of clients that is. We do have the Sit Means Sit collar available on our site, and will also be available at the seminar. You can contact Kate from our Tacoma location about any type of discounts that she will be giving for the seminar if any. Kate’s email is fastpup@msn.com
