Local elementary students get hands-on and learn what it takes to make a profession out of training dogs at upcoming Career Day.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) April 7, 2006 — Instead of reading, writing and arithmetic, students at North Las Vegas' Fredric W. Watson Elementary School will learn to teach dogs that 'Sit Means Sit'.

Trainers Lianne Shinton and Alfredo Rivera from 'Sit Means Sit' Dog Training will speak and provide training demonstrations for the kids on Friday, April 7, 2006. From 1-3 pm, 'Sit Means Sit' trainers will not only showcase their gentle and effective methods with their furry canine assistants, but also discuss their chosen career path, giving the kids insight on the perks, likes, and dislikes of dog training. Students will interact with the well-behaved pooches and even put some of the amazing training techniques to use, proving that even kids can help dogs begin working with self-confidence, self-control and happy attitudes.
