In this video, you will see Fred Hassen using a simple placeboard for some advanced drills of getting a dog to run straight, sit straight, and to stop out of motion right in place. Placeboards are started with larger objects, but can eventually be brought into smaller, and smaller increments because of the dogs ability to distinguish the difference between the placeboard, and the setting below it. It is eventually phased out.
